Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Training - Initial Course
Effective April 22, 2010 all contractors, property managers, landlords, remodelers, plumbers, electricians, painters, window & door contractors, and others who disturb painted surfaces in pre-1978 housing, apartments and child-occupied facilities must become certified renovators and use
lead-safe work practices.
RRP Training for Contractors: All contractors that work on pre-1978 homes and child occupied facilities that disturb more than 6 square feet of interior paint or 20 square feet of exterior paint or engage in window replacements MUST be Certified Renovators. These include but are not limited to renovators, plumbers, electricians, remodelers, painters, window & door contractors, HVAC, landlords, property managers, maintenance companies, siding replacement and abrasive blasting.
Certified Firm: The actual company that performs the work must be a Certified Firm. This is a relatively simple administration process.
Certified Renovator: The Certified Renovator is a named individual who works for a Certified Firm. A Certified Renovator must be assigned to each project and must be present on the job site for certain specific phases of the work being performed. The Certified Renovator is also responsible for training all non-certified workers who will be working on the project.
Global Green Property Solutions is an EPA approved training provider for the RRP initial Renovator Course that will provide support to those that train with us.
The Course:
The course is an eight (8) hour class and includes all course material, exam and hands-on lead safe work practice.
